About Plaster Relief Casts

Julie’s plaster castings are made by pressing toys into clay and filling the impressions with plaster. After carefully removing the clay from the cured plaster, a one-of-a-kind artwork is revealed with highly detailed and intricate designs left by each toy. Each piece is crafted by hand and Julie uses real toys that are beloved, iconic, and often instantly recognizable across generations. Some of Julie’s plaster works are painted in vibrant colors, while others remain in their original, raw white plaster state to create an understated elegant, almost fossilized look. Whether hanging in the living room, set on a nightstand in the bedroom, or decorating an office, a toy plaster cast is a unique and nostalgic way to express your design style.
