Studio Art

Julie Wright is an award-winning artist and designer who lives and practices in Conroe, Texas. A hallmark of her work across all mediums is high-contrast imagery, a minimalist aesthetic, and a touch of whimsy to celebrate subjects found in nature.

Artist Statement

As a former corporate designer turned independent artist, the common themes that continue to drive my career as a multi-disciplined creator are storytelling and connection. I paint universally relatable subjects that are meant to trigger feelings of excitement, comfort, and happiness. From landscapes to animal portraits to the occasional still-life breakfast donut, everything I make is inspired by a story shaped by my love of some place or some thing. These stories are meant to be familiar, starting with my personal passion for the subject matter and ending with YOU and our shared connection to the story in the art.
